We actively support the River Rally initiative, a movement dedicated to restoring and protecting rivers and freshwater ecosystems as part of our CSR initiatives. A portion of our proceeds is directed toward river-restoration projects, helping fund clean-up drives, water-quality monitoring, and community education.

In our African mining partnerships, we work only with mines that adhere to ethical practices and avoid contaminating water sources with toxic runoff. Mihirya educates partner mines on the importance of water stewardship and reforestation, encouraging them to adopt sustainable mining practices that protect rivers, rehabilitate land, and plant trees to prevent soil erosion. By choosing responsible sources, we ensure that the ethical gold refining process we use supports economic growth without harming fragile aquatic ecosystems.

Mihirya is a committed supporter of the Save Soil movement, which advocates for the regeneration of soil health worldwide. As part of our CSR initiatives, we actively participate in spreading awareness about how to care for soil, why it matters, and what must be done after mining to restore and protect the earth.

In 2022, our founder personally attended the Save Soil event in Dubai to deepen the understanding of sustainable mining practices and to carry these insights back into our operations. On our website, we proudly showcase this moment as a reminder of our pledge to rethink how ethical gold refining interacts with the land.

Within our supply chain, we encourage partner mines to implement post-mining land-rehabilitation plans, including soil-cover restoration, controlled re-vegetation, and erosion-control measures. At Mihirya, we don’t just refine gold—we also refine our approach to the environment, ensuring that every step of our journey leaves the soil and rivers healthier than we found them.
